It was a Pleasure to Burn

A new illustration for the book Fahrenheit 451. I love the book, and felt that I could give it a better tribute than the other painting I produced. It is interesting the ways this image contradicts the other and still deals with some similar themes.
Since Clarisse is the catalyst for the flame that changes Montag's heart, I illustrated the moment of ignition. Yes, it is heavy with symbolism, but so is the book. Hope you like it!
